Spatium M570 pro: an MSI SSD capable of 12 GB/s sequential writes!
MSI announces a new M.2 2280 SSD with a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface. The latter seems to feature a rather large heatsink, as can be seen above. What’s more, it’s actively cooled to limit the risk of thermal throttling , which can lead to serious performance degradation.
For the moment, we don’t know much about this model, only that it’s the result of a collaboration between the brand and Phison. Indeed, this series is equipped with a Phison PS5026-E26 controller. On the CrystalDiskInfo shared by the brand, we can see that performance is top-notch, with sequential data rates of 14.1 GB/s read and 12 GB/s write.
Of course, a number of factors have yet to be determined, such as capacities, although we’re betting on 1TB, 2TB or even 4TB. However, sales prices are likely to be high!
