Skiller SGK50: wood on Sharkoon keyboards!

Sharkoon Skiller SGK50With this series, the brand offers us several keyboard formats: models with numeric keypad and navigation keys, a 75% model and a 60% version. In all cases, wood is present on the frame as well as on the spacebar and escape key. The big question is longevity, i.e. how these elements will age. In any case, by default we find Geteron switches with a linear feel and a 50g keystroke. In any case, these switches are hotswappable, so you can install the switches you want in three- and five-pin versions. For sound insulation, Sharkoon opts for a polycarbonate plate, while the case benefits from silicone insulation. Your choice of switches will also influence noise levels, depending on whether or not they are lubricated. Keyboard control can be managed on the fly, or via VIA or QMK software. Between you and me, this is a good thing, since you won’t have to install third-party software on your PC, which you’ll have to update later. Prices are nevertheless interesting, ranging from €149.90 to €169.90, depending on the keyboard format. Barbon versions are available from €119.90 to €139. Here, you’ll need to choose your switches and keyset.
