SGK50 S4 : 60% keyboard with hot-swappable switches!

Sharkoon Skiller SGK50 S4With its new keyboard, Sharkoon attacks the market of ultra-compact keyboards since it is a 60% model. Roughly speaking, only the alphabetical zone is kept on this model. The numeric keypad, the F keys and the navigation keys have been removed.

However, the strong point of this reference lies in its hot-swappable switches. Basically, if we want, we can change the switches by models we like more. Moreover, the brand announces a compatibility with three and five pin switches. Normally, you can put a little bit of everything.

By default, Sharkoon is supplied by Kailh with red (linear), brown (touch) and blue (clicky) switches. Each model requires a force of 50 gr for activation and has a lifetime of 70 million activations.

Moreover, if this offer does not suit you, Sharkoon will propose boxes of 35 switches to replace the basic ones present on the keyboard. From then on, we will find Kailh BOX, Gateron Milky Yellow (linear with a force of 50 g for activation) or Gateron Pro.

As for the rest of the features, you should know that the keyboard has an integrated memory of 32 kb for saving profiles. Also, the polling rate is 1000 Hz, we have an RGB lighting, etc., etc. On the other hand, as far as weight is concerned, this model will be rather light with its 588 g only.

We end with the price, which is 69.90 € for the keyboard. The switch boxes are announced at 12.90 € for the Kailh Box and Gateron Milky Yellow. Finally, the Gateron Pro will be charged 9.90 €.
