Chieftec launches a new case on the market: the Scorpion 4. Compared to the model we tested two years ago, there are not many new features. Indeed, only the front panel differs with the use of mesh instead of tempered glass.

Scorpion 4: a mesh front panel instead of tempered glass!

Chieftec Scorpion 4With this case, the Chieftec brand offers us a medium tower model with the same dimensions as the Scorpion III. This translates into 202.5 (W) x 436 (D) x 490 (H) mm. On the other hand, it will be a little lighter by passing from 7.2 kg to 6.6 kg, a glass panel less, it is felt on the weight.

Inside, we find a compatibility with ATX motherboards to the maximum. The storage part features a cage of two 3.5″/2.5″ slots as well as two 2.5″ boards.

As far as components are concerned, there is room to install :

  • A 166 mm high CPU fan
  • A 349 mm long graphics card
  • A 140mm to 200mm power supply depending on whether the HDD cage is in place or not

Regarding cooling, basically we have four Tornado aRGB fans installed. Three are present at the front, one at the back of the case while being connected to the brand controller. Otherwise, for watercooling, it is not joy with maximum compatibility with radiators in 240 mm maximum. However, this version should breathe better thanks to its mesh front.

For now, the price is not yet known, but we know that the availability is set for May.
