On the Sapphire front, we learn that the brand will be making a comeback in the mini-PC sector. In fact, the brand exhibited a mini-machine, the Edge AI, at the Embbeded World 2025 trade show. Here, the brand is opting for a compact format while offering a configuration based on AMD mobile processors.
Edge AI: a mini-PC from Sapphire!
With this new machine, Sapphire is offering us an ultra-compact PC that measures just 17 x 11 cm, all for a height of 30 mm. As you can see from the photos above, it’s really compact. But that’s all it takes to make a functional machine.
In terms of configurations, we’ll have a choice of Ryzen AI 5 340 and Ryzen AI 7 350, and a machine equipped with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 should even be on offer. As for memory configurations, the default is 16 GB for the Ryzen AI 5-equipped PC and 32 GB for the Ryzen AI 7-equipped PC. In all cases, the memory will run at 5600 MT/s.
Internally, as you can see, the memory will be in SO-DIMM format, which is hardly surprising for this type of machine. As for storage, we’re talking about an M.2 2280 slot coupled with a second 2230 slot.
Of course, the whole package is supported by a full range of connectivity. In particular, there is a dual HDMI output. On the network side, we have 2.5 GbE Ethernet and two 40 Gbps USBs. Two USB-A ports complete the package. It’s also worth noting that the power supply is external – yes, to power these configurations, we have the classic power brick.
For the moment, we don’t have any pricing information. All we know is that it will be available in April. Of course, barebone versions will also be available.
