Since AMD’s 1.0.0.7Bfirmware update, memory frequencies on the AM5 platform have been on the rise. Recently, it was HiCookie’s turn to delight with RAM clocked at 9000 MT/s. This time, we learn that SafeDisk is going even further, pushing its RAM to 9108 MT/s.

9108 MT/s achieved on a Crosshair X670E Gene!

Crosshair X670E Gene 9108 MT/sToday we learn that South Korean overclocker SafeDisk is pushing its G.Skill RAM kit to 9108 MT/s. To achieve this, he had to set the timings to 46-50-50-88-214, but the voltage remains unknown. No extreme cooling, such as liquid nitrogen, was used during the operation…

On the processor side, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D was at work, running at 5224.93 MHz. Finally, on the motherboard side, we were treated to an Asus Crosshair X670E Gene (tested here), a small card in micro-ATX format. Like the B650E Tachyon used by HiCookie, this is also a board with just two RAM slots.

Of course, this is just the beginning: so far, we’ve only heard of the exploits of two overclockers. Only time will tell what kind of frequencies can be achieved on this platform. For the time being, the RAM frequency record stands at 11254.6 MT/s, and that’s on an Intel platform.
