Yesterday, we told you about AMD’s new firmware, the famous AGESA 1.0.0.7B. This update greatly improves RAM support, especially at high frequencies. HiCookie tested all this, and found that he was hitting 9000 MT/s with his Ryzen 7 7800X3D!

Ryzen 7 7800X3D DDR5 at 9000 MT/s for HiCookie!

HiCookie DDR5 9000 MT/s Ryzen 7 7800X3DAs you can see, the HiCookie overclocker succeeded in pushing its RAM up to 9000 MT/s, or 9057 MT/s to be precise. This frequency was achieved using a B650E Tachyon motherboard and Gigabyte memory modules. Naturally, to reach such a high frequency, he used the latest firmware update provided by AMD: AGESA 1.0.0.7B. We wrote about it here.

In fact, the configuration ran on a total of two memory sticks… In any case, a Tachyon only has two memory slots. As for the timings applied, these were 54-56-56-126-127. These settings gave a perfectly stable frequency rise… At least enough to launch a Super PI.

In short, a serious increase in memory frequency from AMD. Overclockers may be in for a treat with an AMD platform. In the meantime, here’s the CPU-Z Validator link !
