Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D processors in early 2023?

According to the latest leaks, AMD would launch three new processors based on a version of Zen 4 V-Cache, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D at CES 2023 early next year. These chips would complete the Ryzen 7000 range from the top and would clearly be very high-end products. This information comes in contradiction with the statements of the reds indicating that we would see these chips before the end of 2022

Towards a 7900X3D and 7950X3D early 2023?

For the moment it is difficult to know the characteristics of these next CPUs especially concerning the amount of cache stacked. But the current Ryzen 7 5800X3D has already proven that the use of 3D V-Cache brings a significant improvement for the game and especially on current AAA titles. These new versions could offer up to a 30% performance improvement over their non-3D counterparts…at the same frequency. But the use of V-Cache 3D technology does not only have advantages. Indeed, we have seen that it causes the CPU to heat up more, thus limiting its overclocking potential (even if some have managed to get around it). So it could be that the next Ryzen 7000 in V-cache version will be limited to a lower operating frequency than their big brothers.

AMD has declared that this generation will be “suitable” for overclocking, including the 3D V-Cache versions.
