Once again, we stay in the world of processors, but this time, we look at the laptop branch. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7745HX makes a first run on Cinebench R23. Already, it proves to be as powerful as a Core i9 12950HK with half as many cores!

With this processor, AMD intends to launch a model with 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at 3.6 GHz – 5.10 GHz (base – boost). It also has 40 MB of cache memory and a configurable TDP of 45W to 75W. Finally, we will be entitled to a graphics part in RDNA3 while the engraving will be in 5 nm.

In addition, it shows itself via scores on Cinebench R23. Thus, in single-core, the processor gets 1828 pts against 18606 pts in multi-core. For comparison, it is as good in single-core as an Intel i9 12950HK, but slightly inferior in multi-core. However, it should be noted that the Intel CPU has 8 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores.

With this, it literally blows away its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 6900HX. The new generation shows an increase in scores of +15%(single-core) and +34%(multi-core). In fact, it is quite surprising to see that it almost rivals a Ryzen 7 7700 desktop. In our our tests the 7700 was 5.91% better in single-core and 1.42% better in multi-core.

Now, if that’s still not enough, you should know that AMD also plans its Ryzen 9 7845HX and 7945HX. While the first model is in 12 cores/24 threads, the second is in 16 cores/32 threads with respective boost frequencies of 5.2 GHz and 5.4 GHz. When you see the results obtained with eight cores, you can imagine what you can get with 12 cores or 16 cores… On the other hand, for the autonomy of the battery or the temperatures, we’ll see.
