RX 7600 XT coming soon, but not in China just yet

AMD’s entry-level sector is about to be completed by a new card. The Reds are reportedly planning the launch of an RX 7600 XT, a CG with increased memory capacity compared to the non-XT 7600.

RX 7600 XT: no launch in China because of the RX 6750 GRE!

RX 6700 XT

Right now, in China, if you want a decent entry/mid-range card, you’ve got the RX 6750 XT GRE. This model is available in two versions, one with 10 GB of VRAM, the other with 12 GB of memory. These differences result in a different GPU configuration, as we mentioned here.

However, via BenchLife, we learn that it’s mainly because of this card that the 7600 XT may not see the light of day in China… At least initially. Indeed, AMD does not wish to cannibalize sales of its card with the launch of a new one. A strategy that makes sense.

For the time being, the final configuration of the 7600 XT is still being debated. Apparently, it will feature a GPU with 2560 stream processors. Memory, however, remains uncertain. Either the card will feature 12 GB of memory on a 192-bit bus, or 16 GB of VRAM on a 128-bit bus, as mentioned here.

Either way, with CES just around the corner, we can expect AMD to say a few words about it during the event.
