RX 6900 XT: a card pushed to 3.3 GHz = 1st place on FireStrike!

This morning, we learn that a new record has just fallen on 3DMark FireStrike. Indeed, the Greek overclocker OGS managed to push his RX 6900 XT to 3,3 GHz and he made it pass a small run on the bench. Result: a first place on the mono-GPU ranking!

OGS RX 6900 XT 3,3 GHzClearly, AMD’s Navi21 XTXH GPU is a very playful chip when overclocking, the proof is in the pudding once again. Indeed, in the hands of the Greek overclocker OGS, the card was able to reach 3.3 GHz in boost. The OC was also stable which allowed the clocker to pass his card on some 3DMark benchmarks. We are talking about Fire Strike, Fire Extreme and Fire Strike Ultra. On these three programs, it’s top 1 with scores (graphics) of :

Otherwise, the rest of the configuration was running with a Core i9 12900K overclocked to 6.9 GHz on all its cores. As for the RAM, we had the right to use a Trident Z5 running at 7.2 Gbps and as for the motherboard, it was a Maximus Z690 Apex signed Asus. Of course, to keep everything cool, OGS used liquid nitrogen for cooling!

The worst part of this story is that the day before, a record was also set for Fire Strike Standard. The Korean biso biso was at the controls and also pushed an RX 6900 XT at 3.1 GHz while obtaining 77 855 pts. A short-lived victory.
