Today, we learn via VideoCardz, that AMD is about to renew its entry-level GPU offer. This translates into the arrival of new cards since the brand would prepare its RX 6500 XT and RX 6400.

AMD’s entry-level GPU offer will soon be renewed as the brand is said to be preparing two small cards. These are based on the same GPU, a Navi24.
Of course, their configuration is not yet known, nevertheless, we can expect a chip offering 16 Compute Units for the 6500 XT. On the other hand, the small RX 6400 would have 12. In terms of Stream Processors, that makes 1024 SP for the biggest and 768 SP for the second.
Regarding the memory configuration, both cards will have a total of 4 GB of GDDR6 memory. This VRAM benefits from a 64-bit interface and should run at 14 Gbps. This gives us a bandwidth of 112 GB/s.
In short, you will have understood, we are really small GPU intended for light game type MOBA for the 6500 XT. The RX 6400 should be the kind of card that you buy to enjoy a simple display. To be reserved in cases where you have a CPU without integrated graphics for example… Or if you want to take advantage of the latest hardware acceleration in a multimedia use for example.
