[Rumor] RTX 40 Super confirmed by Korean retailer?

This is a rumor that should be treated with caution. If we’re talking about it, it’s because the info was relayed by the @Harukaze5719 account on Twitter, which is usually rather trustworthy. However, don’t lose sight of the fact that this is a typical “what’s-his-name told what’s-his-name told me” scenario. At the end of the day, the source is “Tkt frere”. This concerns the future RTX 40 Super.

A Korean vendor confirms the existence of the RTX 40 Super… For what it’s worth!

RTX 4080 Super

Apparently, the person behind the Harukaze5719 account has confirmed the names of some Super models. If the rumors are true, NVIDIA will indeed be releasing RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Super cards. However, nothing has been said about the RTX 4070 Ti Super, a model that is the subject of much debate in the community. Indeed, a Ti Super never saw the light of day when NVIDIA refreshed its RTX 2000 series, so we’ll have to wait and see.

As a reminder, with these cards, the company intends to increase the number of cuda cores in its models. The 4080 Super is expected to boast 5% more cuda core than its non-Super counterpart. As for the 4070, this figure should be up by 22% if things go according to plan.

As for the announcement date, CES seems to have caught NVIDIA’s attention as the place to unveil these cards. As a reminder, this is one of the world’s major computer trade shows, and will take place from January 9 to 12, 2024.
