New promotion for the RTX 4080 in the USA, where the card fell into the $1000 sector. The promotion concerned Zotac’s Trinity OC, a customized model.

RTX 4080 Trinity, the card priced at $999.99!

On the program, the card found itself in the $1000 segment in the United States, the official retail price of its rival: the RX 7900 XTX. Although the two cards are in the same category, the RADEON boasts superior rasterization performance, while the GeForce is more at ease with Ray Tracing. Similarly, NVIDIA’s performance/consumption ratio is more attractive, while AMD’s card offers more VRAM: 24 GB versus 16 GB.

Although this promotion doesn’t concern us today, it’s still worth looking into. Indeed, even if it’s not the case here, when price cuts are to be expected, they are first felt abroad, in China and the United States in particular. In fact, it was there that the Arc A750 and A770 dropped first, before seeing their prices melt away in Europe.

As for us, the most affordable RTX 4080s remain Zotac’s Trinity, MSI’s Ventus 3X, Gainward’s Phantom and one from PNY, featured in our comparison above.
