Good news, or maybe not, well, it’s news, because NVIDIA could well be bringing forward the launch of its non-Ti RTX 4060. Indeed, the card could well see the light of day by the end of June. Initially, the launch was scheduled for July, and more precisely, in the first half of the month.

RTX 4060 non-Ti: launch on June 29?

RTX 4060 Ti - RTX 4060Now we learn that the 4060 non-Ti’s launch date has been brought forward by one or two weeks… According to TechpowerUp the card will be available from June 29. On the other hand, MSRP card tests will be available from June 28. Finally, premium card reviews will be published one day before the launch.

As a reminder, this 4060 non-Ti is a tiny card running an AD107 GPU. It contains 3072 cuda cores and a small memory section with 8 GB GDDR6 at 17 Gbps on a 128-bit bus. Memory bandwidth is 272 GB/s, compared with 288 GB/s for the Ti version, which features faster VRAM.

Finally, the question arises as to the reason behind this advance in the timetable. One of the reasons put forward by VideoCardz is the lukewarm reception of the Ti version. The company is therefore attempting to bounce back by trying to make a success of this version. Then there’s the question of cost, since this card retails for $299. A price cut on the Ti (which has not been as successful as expected) could put the non-Ti version in jeopardy.
