NVIDIA recently launched its RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 on the market with relative success. While performance was improving, the low quantities available quickly annoyed potential buyers. Fortunately, the RTX 50 series is still being launched, and it is hoped that stocks will be higher for the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060. However, in anticipation of these launches, we have learned that supplies of RTX 4060s will be reduced by 60% in the first quarter of 2025 in anticipation of their replacement.

RTX 4060, towards a 60% drop in shipments in the first quarter of 2025?

Up until now, the card has still been widely shipped, however, according to ‘Master No.1’ on the ITHome forum, we learn that shipments of this model will be reduced by 60% this quarter compared to the last quarter of 2024. In addition, it would appear that February will be the last month of supply for the card.

NVIDIA is obviously doing this to control stocks in preparation for the launch of the new generation. It’s hard to sell many new cards if resellers’ stocks are bursting with older-generation references.

However, this strategy has also led to the current situation where there are no RTX 4080 Super or RTX 4090 in stock. And the Chameleon has no more RTX 5080s and RTX 5090s available on the market. Let’s hope that this time the supply of cards is more sustained.

AMD also discontinues the RX 6750 GRE!

This time, the news focuses more on the Chinese market, as there are no RX 6750 GREs available here. In any case, according to the same user, the card was discontinued last January, while a replacement is expected in March. It should be noted that this model was a major rival to the RTX 4060. In short, while the Chameleon is preparing to launch a new entry/mid-range card, AMD also seems to be waiting with bated breath for its rival… Especially in China, one of the biggest markets in the world!
