Alphacool has already unveiled its waterblock for the RTX 3090 Ti, however, this is not the case for EKWB. Obviously, this model seems to be quite particular to go under water. The brand says it is concerned about wanting to cool the card properly… At the same time, with a TGP close to 500W, we can imagine that it must not be an easy task.
RTX 3090 Ti: what are EKWB’s plans?
Don’t panic, this 3090 Ti will benefit from a block from EKWB. Moreover, the company will offer cooling for the reference models, Founders Edition and even cards from NVIDIA partners. In broad terms, the Slovenian brand mentions models Strix from Asus, FTW3 from EVGA or Suprim and Trio from MSI.
Moreover, that’s not all since these models will also benefit from an active backplate. In broad terms, these are backplates that can be watercooled to cool the back of the graphics card.
Finally, the company indicates that its blocks will be compatible with Matrix7. As a reminder, this is a standardization of the dimensions of the components in order to facilitate the assembly of watercooling loops. However, the Founders Edition block will not be compatible because of its particular PCB design.
Unfortunately, the release dates of the waterblocks have not been announced. However, as soon as it becomes available, we’ll keep you posted.
