Specifications and PCB:

Technical specifications:

In terms of frequency, the base frequency is announced at 2526 MHz while the Boost is at 2680 MHz. The 24 GB of G-DDR6 memory runs at 2500 MHz (980 GB/s) on a 384 bit bus. Our Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil benefits from a very good factory overclocking, since the reference card, the RX 7900 XTX benefits from a Boost frequency of 2500 MHz.

A small passage through GPU-Z to check that the information read is correct. The information is correct with, as you can see, very cool temperatures. The power limit can still be adjusted to +15%, so we should still have some room for overclocking.

Let’s unpack the PCB:

The novelty of this architecture is the design based on the addition of MCD (Memory Cache Die), also called memory chiplets. This design with its two distinct parts reminds us of the AMD processors. The PCB of our Liquid Devil version is unsurprisingly identical to that of the RX 7900 XTX Red Devil Limited Edition.

We find the GCD (Graphic Compute Die) engraved in 5 nm with a size of 300 mm ² and then five or six MCD (Memory Cache Die) also called memory chiplets that are engraved in 6 nm. Each one occupies a surface of 37 mm². The PCB consists of 21 phases, 12 + 3 + 2 for the GPU and 2 + 2 for the memory.
