Review: NVIDIA RTX 4080 Founders Edition

After the test of the MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X which made a strong impression on us, today is the official launch of the RTX 4080. NVIDIA continues to launch its new graphics cards based on the “ADA Lovelace” architecture. These cards replace the Ampere architecture of the GeForce RTX 30xx launched a little over two years ago. Today, it is not one, not two, but three cards that we will have the chance to present to you, starting with a copy of the RTX 4080 Founders Edition from NVIDIA. The two other models that you will be able to test are the MSI RTX 4080 Suprim X and the KFA2 RTX 4080 SG.

One of the points we will also be paying attention to when our tests are over is the price/performance ratio. Many of you on our Discord have doubts about the price announced by NVIDIA of $1 199 or €1469 for this RTX 4080 Founders Edition. Many of you think that the difference in performance between the RTX 4090 and this RTX 4080 will be very important and therefore the price of our sample of the day is much too high. So that’s one of the answers we’ll be giving as well.

NVIDIA RTX 4080 Founders Edition Thanks to NVIDIA for making this sample of the RTX 4080 Founders Edition available.
