Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, RX 6650 XT: performance ?

0

We are a few days away from the official announcement of the refresh of the AMD Radeon range based on RDNA2. A lot of information has already been leaked but today we are going to share with you the tests of these 3 future RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, RX 6650 XT under 3DMark. The results we share here are based on reference models running at official clock speeds. Benchmarks in the 3DMark family include Time Spy, Fire Strike, 3DMark 11 and Port Royal. The advanced test setup by wccftech includes a Ryzen 7 5800X3D running DDR4-3600 on the latest 22.10-220411n drivers in the Windows 10 operating system. EDIT 9:00 PM by Bruce Wayne following a protest movement on the oCC discord ( harshly repressed ), our community points out some inconsistencies in the measurements made by Wccftech. We point out that we relay their tests here for information purposes and our own results should arrive shortly.

RX 6950 XT ahead of RTX 3090 Ti under Time Spy and Fire Strike

It’s not really a surprise, the “new” AMDs are doing well: under Time Spy the RX 6950 XT is faster than the RTX 3090 Ti, the 6750 XT is faster than the RTX 3070 Ti and the 6650 XT is faster than the RTX 3060.

But the Refresh RDNA2 is still struggling with Raytracing

Under 3DMark Port Royal, a test specific to Raytracing, our friends at Wccftech note that NVIDIA maintains its lead in the field thanks to its more advanced architecture in the field. The Radeon RX 6950 XT offers performance close to an RTX 3080 but can’t match it. The RX 6750 XT is about as fast as an RTX 2080 but much slower than an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. The RX 6650 XT is just slightly faster than the RTX 3050 in this performance test.

RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, RX 6650 XT 3DMark As you can see, there are no real surprises from a performance point of view. The judge of peace will be the prices of course…
