Pure Rock 3s are out on the road too!

In addition to its new Pure Rock 3 Pro coolers, be quiet! is renewing its 120 mm single-tower range with Pure Rock 3s. Here, unlike the previous generation, the brand is making a 180° turn by offering coolers in a slim format. However, there are two different finishes: a black model and a second with a black fan.

Pure Rock 3: fans in slim format!

Pure Rock 3 Black

Unlike the first two generations of Pure Rock, be quiet! is now offering us coolers that have been slimmed down. Their thickness has been reduced from 88 mm (with fan) to 71 mm for this new generation. However, the rest of the dimensions ensure that this series will fit easily into many cases, thanks to their height of 154 mm and width of 124 mm.

While the radiator has a matt black electrocoated finish, it now has only four copper heat pipes. Unlike the Pro series, the base is not eccentric; at the same time, with a 46 mm thick radiator, there’s no need to offset the base. Finally, these heat pipes are mounted in direct contact with the CPU.

Pure Rock 3 LX

Once again, the German brand has opted for fans from its own catalogue. This is why we find a Pure Wings 3 in 120 and a Light Wings LX depending on the model. These are fans operating at up to 2,000 rpm, but with a variation in airflow and static pressure in favour of the Light Wings LX. The Light Wings LX generates an airflow of 61.8 CFM and a pressure of 2.51 mmH2O, compared with 59.6 CFM and 2.41 mmH2O for the Pure Wings.

Turning now to prices, with the Black version, be quiet! is showing itself to be very conservative when it comes to prices. Here, the bill will come to €34.90, compared with €39.90 for the model equipped with its RGB fan. Finally, availability is set for 11 March!
