At GamesCom 2025, ASUS unveiled a very big graphics card, the RTX 5090 Matrix. The card in question is now listed online at ProShop, and the price is clearly eye-watering: €4099.90! The price of a trip for two to Japan for two weeks (including airfare and accommodation)!
RTX 5090 Matrix listed at €4099.99!
The RTX 5090 Matrix is an exceptional graphics card from ASUS. This particularly high-end model is produced in a limited series of 1,000 units. It’s a particularly high-end card that pays tribute to ASUS’s first Matrix models, the 9800 GT Matrix and HD 4850 Matrix. You can recognize it by the rounded shape of the heatsink at the rear of the card.
In terms of design, this model retains its four fans, three at the front and one at the rear. The fairing combines black and red hues, while the rear features a Matrix display with an infinite depth effect, as well as ROG Matrix Anniversary branding on the rounded part of the card.
But what’s also interesting here is that ASUS has managed to push back the power consumption limit with the agreement of NVIDIA. On a conventional RTX 5090, this limit is 600W. With the Matrix, ASUS has pushed the power consumption limit to 800W! By default, frequencies reach 2730 MHz thanks to vBIOS OC. Of course, the power supply will pass through a 12V-2×6 connector, but the card remains BTF compatible and also features an optional GC_HPWR connector that can complement the original 12V-2×6 if required.
Once again, if this is a card you’re interested in, you’ll have to be quick – 1,000 copies isn’t much, and clearly the card will go like hotcakes. Wealthy customers do exist. The only question is, where will these models go on sale? Proshop.de seems to be one of those places!
