For its part, Acer announces a new monitor, the Predator X34 (real name X34Sbmiiiphzx), a 34″ model. This last one has a fast IPS curved slab and a 21:9 resolution… In short, if not the price, it has everything to please!
Predator X34 : fast IPS in 21:9 at Acer !
With this new reference, the brand offers us a model with a fairly large diagonal of 34″. The screen is a fast IPS type, with a 21:9 resolution: 3440 x 1440. Let’s not forget that it is a curved screen at 1900R.
Nevertheless, fast IPS also means high refresh rate. Here, we are dealing with 180 Hz with a response time of 0.55 ms. In addition, we can count on NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility and NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer technology.
Otherwise, this reference displays a typical brightness of 400 cd/m² with peaks at 550 cd/m² in HDR400 mode. The contrast ratio rises to 1000:1 while the DCI-P3 coverage is 98%. Finally, this monitor will be able to display a total of 1.07 billion colors.
Before moving on to the price, a quick word on the connectivity which includes a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI. Concerning the HDMI, stay vigilant on this subject since the recent controversy
about it. The connectivity is completed by a USB HUB with four ports and a jack. Of course, two 7W speakers are integrated. As for the price, that’s where it gets tricky since Acer announces its new product at €1199, ouch!
