Polaris Pro & Polaris 3.0: Chieftec extends warranty to 5 years

Chieftec may not be the most popular manufacturer in France, but when a brand increases the duration of its warranties, it gets talked about. And that’s exactly what the manufacturer is doing with its Polaris Pro and Polaris 3.0 power supplies: it’s increasing its warranties!

Polaris Pro & Polaris 3.0: warranty extended to 5 years!

Chieftec Polaris ProAmong all the power supplies in Chieftec’s catalog are the Polaris series. These come in two ranges: Pro and 3.0. They represent the very best from the manufacturer, in terms of both power and efficiency.

Until now, their warranty has been short, lasting only 2 years – a very short period in this sector. Now, we learn that the company is extending this coverage to 5 years, which should give us a little more peace of mind in the event of a problem.

However, compared with other players, this warranty period may seem rather short. At Corsair, for example, entry-level series are covered for a minimum of 3 years for CVs… More than Chieftec’s basic warranty. And if you look at the larger series, the warranty increases to 10 years. Even worse at Seasonic, where it’s not impossible to find power supplies with a 12-year warranty. You might as well say that your power supply will make you several PCs.

But let’s not deny ourselves the pleasure of seeing the warranty period on your power supply extended free of charge.
