Peerless Assassin 140 Digital: RGB and monitoring!

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140 DigitalWith this new heatsink, the brand offers us a reference measuring 140 (W) x 160 (D) x 165 (H) mm. Yes, it’s a rather imposing model, exceeding 160 mm in height. In a case, you’ll have to be careful about compatibility. There’s a chance you won’t be able to close the side panel with this heatsink in place. In any case, we’re dealing with a dual-tower cooler equipped with two stacks of aluminum fins. This assembly is crossed by a total of six copper heat pipes, each 6 mm in diameter, meeting at a nickel-plated C1100 copper base. As can be seen, the finish appears to be meticulous, with a completely black coating on the entire heatsink. The upper part is covered by a digital display that reports CPU temperature, fan speed and CPU usage. A nine-pin USB connector to be plugged into your motherboard will be required to operate it. Ventilation is provided by two fans of different sizes. In the middle, we’re treated to a TL-D14CB that will spin at up to 1,500 rpm, generating 77.8 CFM of airflow and a static pressure of 2.09 mmH2O. The front fan, a 120×28 mm TL-C12Cx28, will operate at up to 1850 rpm. It will generate an air flow of 82 CFM and a static pressure of 2.1 mmH2O. Of course, we’ll have to keep a close eye on memory compatibility, but otherwise we’d say it’s compatible with mainstream LGA-1000 and AM4/5 platforms.
