LCD screens are now everywhere. Indeed, you can find them on graphics cards, motherboards and even AIOs. However, as far as custom waterblocks are concerned, apart from one or two references, there wasn’t much… Or else, with very small displays like the Kryos Next of AquaComputer for example. In short, Thermaltake launches into the adventure with its Pacific MX2 Ultra with a more substantial LCD!

Pacific MX2 Ultra: a waterblock with a 2.1″ screen from Thermaltake!

Pacific MX2 UltraOn the program, we find a waterblock with a rather particular look insofar as the threads are present at the front of the block and not on the top. On the other hand, with a small LCD screen on the pump, we had to find a solution, we would not pass through ?

In short, the strong point of this model lies in its LCD screen placed on top of the block. We are dealing with a screen with a diagonal of 2.1″ with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. For the management, this is done via the TT RGB Plus 2.0 software via a USB link to be connected directly to the motherboard.

Of course, we will find a nickel-plated copper base with a mirror finish. Moreover, the base incorporates a number of micro-wires with a central insert. The liquid is directed directly to the CPU. Finally, there is a thermal sensor inside the block that gives information on the temperature of the liquid.

We finish with the selling price which is $169.99 on the store online from Thermaltake. The block will fit on the LGA-1700, LGA-1100, LGA-2000, AM4, AM3 and derivatives platforms.
