Alphacool launches a new series of all-in-one water cooling kits. Nevertheless, the key word of this Ocean T38 range is: quality/price ratio. Indeed, all the models are less than 100 €. This could hurt the competition!
Ocean T38: water cooling kits sold under 100 € !
With this range of AIO Ocean T38, Alphacool offers no less than five new models. We start very small with a 120 mm reference, then we go up to 240 mm, 280 mm, 360 mm and we finish with a huge 420 mm.
On the radiator side, unlike the Eisbaer series, we will not have copper. However, Alphacool offers a thick model, 38 mm, like the Liquid Freezer II series from Arctic.
Regarding the pump, we have no information about the flow rate or the water column. On the other hand, we know that the base is made of nickel-plated copper, that there are micro-webs of 0.1 x 0.1 mm and that it will operate up to 3500 RPM. Of course, the power supply goes through a PWM signal.
Ventilation is provided by one or more 120/140 mm fans, this will depend on the size of the radiator. The advertised features are:
- Core Fan 120 mm
- Speed : from 0 RPM to 2500 RPM
- Air flow : 62,8 CFM
- Static pressure : 2,13 mmH2O
- Core Fan 140 mm
- Speed : from 0 RPM to 2000 RPM
- Air flow : 92,3 CFM
- Static pressure: 2.53 mmH2O
All that remains is to resolve the question of price. Thus, the 120 mm, 240 mm and 360 mm versions are priced at 62.98 €, 74.98 € and 85.96 € respectively. In 280 mm and 420 mm the bill amounts to 79.98 € and 96.99 €. In short, the prices are very accessible, we just have to see what it will give noise and temperatures!
