OCCT and Intel are collaborating to provide support and tuning for Intel processors directly within the software. As a reminder, this software allows you to check the stability of your system by stressing your CPU and GPU. But the new feature is the addition of a System Tuning page. This allows you to adjust your CPU settings directly within the software.
OCCT now includes support and tuning for Intel CPUs!Â
Broadly speaking, it will now be possible to adjust various settings related to your processor. You will be able to increase or decrease the frequency of your CPU cores in real time with immediate effect without having to use an external tool, for example. In addition, these adjustments can be made while a stress test is in progress so that you can see the effects of your settings in real time. Obviously, you won’t be able to do anything you want, as protection mechanisms are built in.
For now, access to this feature is limited to a closed beta phase. However, a public launch is planned for the coming weeks. In addition, a skin featuring the French national team is in the works… which makes sense for a collaboration.
Currently, we know that Granite Rapids processors will be supported. We assume that this will also be the case for other CPU generations. As for the settings, we guess that it will be possible to adjust the VCore voltage and multiplier coefficient on a core-by-core basis. In short, it remains to be seen what can be achieved, but Intel’s press release refers to an “unrestricted solution for advanced overclockers seeking complete control.” To be continued.
