NVIDIA continues to make a killing, and the new contract with India isn’t about to put a stop to things. In fact, a new contract has been signed: $500 million just to supply boards for artificial intelligence!
India, NVIDIA’s new preferred customer?
India is taking a very, very close interest in artificial intelligence, as the country seeks to promote technological growth. To this end, one of its companies, Yotto, is placing a very, very large order with NVIDIA for AI GPUs. From what we’ve learned, the order is worth $500 million. The order includes 16,000 H100 and GH200 cards, in addition to the 16,000 previously ordered . The company has already ordered a billion dollars’ worth of hardware!
Of course, such an order is not delivered in 15 days, far from it. This new purchase is due to arrive by March 2025, while delivery of the first part is due to be completed by July. The cards will be used to power the company’s AI-related cloud services.
With investments like these, there’s no doubt that India is an emerging country in this sector. That’s what NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said. In any case, with nine-figure orders, the country is becoming one of the chameleon’s preferred customers!
