NT09-1700 : a low profile Silverstone heatsink for LGA-1700 !

Silversone announces a new heatsink. This time, we return to the world of CPU heatsinks with the NT09-1700, a “radbox style”. Moreover, it has the advantage of being low profile with its 45 mm height only!

NT09-1700: “radbox style” for Silverstone!

Silverstone NT09-1700

With this model, as we can see, we find a rather basic heatsink, we must admit. It is a simple aluminum block with machined fins. The base is also made of aluminum and benefits from pre-applied thermal paste. Nevertheless, there is no trace of copper here, either in the base or in the non-existent heat pipes. We remain in the same state of mind as the old Intel radboxes before they became pretty.

Cooling is provided by a 95mm x 25mm PWM powered fan. This will run from 500 RPM to 2500 RPM. Considering the size, at full speed, it will stir rather well: 46.4 CFM and it will push quite seriously with 3.14 mmH2O of static pressure.

The assembly will be easy thanks to the backplate provided on which the heatsink will be screwed. On the other hand, this NT09-1700 will only be compatible with the Intel LGA-1700. You will also have understood that this heatsink should not be installed on large CPUs such as the i9 12900K for example. However, it has the advantage of being compact with its dimensions of 96 (W) x 96 (D) x 45 (H) mm.

For the price, you will have to spend $20.

This way to the Silverstone datasheet!
