Noctua: no new D15 before the end of 2022!

Via its website, the Austrian brand Noctua has just updated its roadmap. On the program, some heatsinks are quite late. We think especially of the successor of the current NH-D15 which is pushed back to the end of the year. Nevertheless, as a compensation, we have the right to a small surprise.

Noctua : the new D15, not before the end of 2022 !

Roadmap Noctua 2022

As you can see, at the beginning of this year, the brand’s catalog is getting ready to welcome a new fan. Apparently, Noctua is working to launch a 120mm dual tower aircooling heatsink. Although we don’t have any details about it, we can imagine a format similar to that of the Scythe Fuma. It remains to be seen what it will look like in detail: which fans will be installed? Eccentric base ? Weight and dimensions?

In the second quarter, unfortunately, nothing very exciting, only accessories. We think in particular of the 8 ports fan hub or voltage converter 24V ==> 12V.

From July, we should have more things, especially with the next generation fan in 140 mm. These should replace the NF-A14 and NF-A15 currently in the catalog. On the heatsink side, a new series intended for Intel Xeon server processors should see the light of day. Finally, a small 40mm fan powered by 24V should also be available. On this subject, we imagine that it is intended to cool server racks. In public PCs, 24V is not common, not to say non-existent.

Finally, we are already in the last quarter of the year with, at last, the arrival of the successor to the NH-D15. Obviously, the brand seems to have difficulties to propose a new product that makes the difference with the one currently proposed. Indeed, if we believe the latest roadmap of the brand (january 2021) this fan should have been released at the end of 2021. And finally, the range of white fans should land on this same niche, just to contrast with the chromax.black series.
