New Battlemage PCI IDs spotted!

A graphics driver update for Linux from Intel, new rumors surface. Yes, sometimes that’s all it takes. Well, it should also be said that @GawroskiT on X, has discovered new PCI IDs for unreleased Battlemage cards. Is Intel planning to extend its card range? It’s hard to say.

New Battlemage PCI IDs = new cards to come?

Intel Arc Battlemage ID PCI

As you know, the Battlemage card range was launched in two stages. The first involved the launch of the Arc B580 last December, while the second stage concerned the B570 this January. But as you’ll be aware, these are maximum entry/mid-range cards, and the successors to the A750 and A770 have yet to arrive, let alone be announced.

This is where the serie’s new PCI IDs come in to give us a little hope. Indeed, it seems rather unlikely that the blue guys would have fun adding new IDs to their drivers just for the fun of it. However, a PCI ID is still pretty vague and doesn’t say much… Only that other Xe2 cards are potentially in the pipeline.

If there is a new launch, what can we expect? On the one hand, the completion of the series, but this seems unlikely – Celestial is obviously ready, and some say that the blue team are already working on Druid. On the other hand, the launch of new models from the Arc Pro series, cards with more memory for workstations, is also expected this year.
