Intel considers Alder Lake to be one of the most important launches in recent years. To get up to speed, the blues have been pushing the ecosystem and more than 100 Z690 motherboard references will be launched in the next few days. The Z690 will be the only card available for Alder Lake at the end of the year, the more accessible versions should arrive in the first quarter of 2022.

For the Z690 we should have all prices on this range with variants with DDR5 and/or DDR4 RAM. Remember that the Intel Z690 chipset for Alder Lake will offer several new technologies such as PCI-Express 5.0 and DDR5. Regarding the ram, we will also be able to have a DDR4 version that may be competitive in terms of price but also in terms of performance. Indeed, it is whispered that the first DDR5 kits will not allow to fully exploit the potential of the new Intel platform with frequencies from 4800 to 5600Mhz obtained for the moment with latencies not totally convincing. A few days ago, the first prices of the Asus range had filtered through a French retailer. Prices are close to what we could find on the Z590 but which show that an Alder Lake configuration will not be accessible for everyone at the end of 2021.
