Another major graphics driver update for Chinese manufacturer Moore Thread. As you know, with its MTT S80 and MTT S70, China wants to make its mark in the gaming graphics card sector. However, let’s face it, the brand’s solutions are rather patchy. The main cause being catastrophic drivers. But things are slowly changing, with the publication of a driver adding support for DirectX 11… And 15 new games!

The trouble with competing with AMD and NVIDIA in the dedicated GPU sector is that you’re up against companies that have been around “forever”. Indeed, NVIDIA has been around since 1993, while ATI, acquired by AMD, has been making graphics cards since the late 80s. As for Intel, which has just arrived on the scene, the brand is investing enormous resources to stand up to its competitors. So when you’re a company founded in 2020, it’s hard to catch up.

To catch up, the company is offering a new pilot update. This highlights support for Microsoft’s DirectX 11API, while bringing support for fifteen games. These include Dota 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 and 3, Street Fighter 5, BioShock 2: Remastered Edition and Cities: Skyline. Games released…

But this update also brings new features and support for new motherboards. The brand’s graphics cards will now run on Intel boards based on the 400/500/600/700 series chipset. On the AMD side, we note support for B550/B650/X670 models… But nothing for the X570.

Things seem to be improving, but what about performance on these games? We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, the company seems to be targeting its cards at Internet cafés, for low-quality gaming. But is this a deliberate or forced path?
