Alder Lake-S: commercial launch on November 4th

MSI has confirmed, somewhat awkwardly, the official launch date of the Intel Alder Lake-S processors . It’s with the publicity offering a free upgrade kit to use the new socket, that MSI involuntarily sold the fuse.

Alder Lake-S Indeed, the document specifies that this kit will only be available on November 4th, a date that titillated Videocardz who quickly obtained confirmation that this date corresponds to the end of the embargo on testing the new CPUs and the start of their sales in the shops. Very quickly other sources came to complete this calendar and we now have a rather precise vision of the events that will precede the arrival of the new Intel generation. An event should be held in October to make the launch official, and then on October 27 pre-orders will be opened and we will be able to see the tests and buy the CPU on November 4.

Only Z690 and Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K in 2021

So this date is a bit better than the previous rumor that mentioned a launch on 14/11. As a reminder, only the K versions should be launched at the end of 2021, namely the Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K (the Kf versions without graphics will also be launched at the same date). Finally, only Z690 motherboards will also be available, a situation that will obviously make the entry ticket to Alder Lake very spicy.
