MP600 Pro XT: on the way to 8TB of storage?

Corsair MP600 Pro XTFor the time being, we learn that Corsair would be about to complete its MP600 Pro XT SSD range. The latter would receive a model offering a massive capacity of 8 TB, all with a PCIe 4.0 interface.

Internally, we would have the right to a Phison PS5018-E18 memory controller as well as TLC memory with 176 layers. Similarly, a DRAM cache in DDR4 is part of the game. On the security side, this version would benefit from an AES-256 bit encryption mechanism.

Concerning the performances, the sequential flows would be of 7,1 Go/s in reading and 6,1 Go/s in writing. The random performances would show the 950k IOPS in reading against 1200k IOPS in writing. That is to say a slightly lower performance than the 4Tb version… At least, if the data sheet of the retailer is correct.

As for the other models of the series, we find an aluminum heat sink. The aim is to reduce the temperature of the memory chips and the controller installed underneath.
