Phanteks announces new products just before CES kicks off. Indeed, the brand is unveiling a Matrix series, which features LED panels hidden behind a thin fabric to soften the lighting. What’s more, the Matrix panel is available as an upgrade kit!
Matrix: LED panels from Phanteks!

In broad terms, the brand is offering us new variants of its Evolv X2 and XT View housings, all equipped with those famous Matrix panels. The aim, via Nexlinq software, is to be able to customize them to display whatever you like: CPU temperature, date and time, or even your own visuals, with the option of creating your own designs.
The X2 Evolv is no slouch in this respect, with no fewer than 900 customizable LEDs. The interior of the case is also lined with fabric, giving it a very warm design.

Otherwise, as far as the XT View is concerned, the LED panel is less extensive, with only 600 LEDs. However, it’s still covered by a veil of fabric to soften its illumination and make it less aggressive. Once again, this panel is located at the bottom of the case.
Finally, if you’ve already purchased an XT View case or an Eclipse G400A, you can purchase this LED panel separately as an upgrade kit. It connects via USB and uses a SATA power socket. Finally, we learn that the Nexlinq software suite uses only around 3% of CPU power.
In terms of price, we’re looking at €199.90 for the Elvov X2 versus €119.99 for the XT View. Finally, the LED panel alone costs €49.90.
