Lian Li announces a very, very, very big case with its new V3000 Plus. It is a clearly watercooling oriented model with very large capacities in terms of components. In a few words, the case can accommodate up to three 480m/420mm heat sinks or sixteen 2.5″ SSDs !
V3000 Plus: a new super-tower from Lian Li!
Quickly, the brand offers a new one which imposes, indeed, this new case displays colossal dimensions: 279 (W) x 678,5 (D) x 674 (H) mm. Unfortunately, no information on the weight, but it would have been interesting to know.
With such dimensions, needless to say that the largest motherboard formats are supported. Support for E-ATX or EEB models is included. Via an adapter, we can even integrate a second ITX configuration!
For the time being, there is no real limitation for the components. The graphics card will benefit from a maximum of 589 mm. If desired, it can even be installed vertically in the middle of the case, in which case it only has 358 mm of space. Finally, in the case of a dual configuration, the second card, installed in the lower compartment, benefits from 320 mm of length.
But the most impressive thing here is the capacity of the watercooling radiators. This V3000 Plus has three slots in 480/420 mm: one at the top, one at the front and one at the bottom. For fans, we have up to fifteen slots in 120 mm!
Finally, there are two tempered glass panels mounted on hinges. The motherboard tray is removable and rotatable by 90°. Cabling will be made easier thanks to the various velcro strips on the back of the card tray, etc.
All that remains is to talk about the price, which is very high: $499.99! To this, we can add the price of the vertical support for the graphics card: $59.99, the dual configuration module at $49.99 or the hot-swap module for storage: $14.99!
