Lian Li announces a new series of power supplies with its SX Series. The Taiwanese brand has unveiled three power supplies with comfortable power ratings and sheathed cables. The good news is that prices are far from unaffordable!
SX Series: good performance, sheathed cables, affordable prices!
With these power supplies, the brand offers us power supplies with power ratings at the top end of the market. Indeed, with 850W, 1000W and 1200W power supplies, we can’t say that these are power supplies designed to power small configurations. However, the brand does offer power supplies with a compact casing: just 14 cm deep. Cooling is provided by a 120 mm fan with FDB bearing, whose semi-passive mode can be activated at the touch of a button.
Internally, the brand opts for quality components, as evidenced by the presence of capacitors of Japanese origin. Likewise, we find all the necessary electrical protection with OPP, OVP, SCP, UVP, OCP, UVP, OTP and NLP. Last but not least, it complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, and features a single 12V rail.
But where the series stands out from the competition is in the finish of the cables, which are sheathed strand by strand… Well, only the main cables, such as ATX 24-pin, CPU 4+4-pin or 12V-2×6. Otherwise, for the other cables, we find a more classic finish with flat cables.
Finally, in terms of price, the bill is rather… Affordable in the end, with prices of $119.99 for 850W, versus $149.99 and $159.99 for 1000W and 1200W respectively. Note that the warranty is 10 years, so there’s plenty to look forward to.
