In early June, we had the opportunity to give you an exclusive look at the AORUS RTX 5090 INFINITY. We first saw this graphics card at CES 2026, and it was finally officially unveiled at Computex 2026, alongside several other versions. Among them was the RTX 5080 INFINITY. That’s the card we’re showcasing today!
Unboxing:
As is often the case with AORUS’s top-of-the-line products, the box is stunning. The packaging is also quite imposing compared to competing models.
Once the box is open, we quickly come across the graphics card. It’s wrapped in an antistatic bag and surrounded by all its accessories. A very standard graphics card package.
Right out of the box, it’s clear that this graphics card is meant to make a statement and is designed to catch your eye with its look—which is completely different from what we’re used to seeing.
Accessories:
This RTX 5080 INFINITY comes with a much more limited set of accessories than the RTX 5090 version. It includes only the essentials: an AORUS sticker, a GPU stand, an extension cable for the stand, and a 12VHPWR-to-three-8-pin-PCIe-connector adapter.
The last accessory is a small metal cover. Its purpose is to hide the cable coming out of the graphics card at the backplate. This is an essential component of the graphics card, unless you choose to install it vertically. In that case, this aesthetic touch will serve no purpose.
Once in place, it completes the backplate and hides the connector, as well as the cable coming out of it, giving the graphics card the appearance of a reverse-connector (BTF-style) design. It’s an aesthetic touch we really appreciate.
The AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY:
This RTX 5080 INFINITY is built around a custom PCB, unlike its big sister, the RTX 5090 INFINITY, which uses a Founders Edition PCB. However, it features the same heatsink as the RTX 5090 INFINITY, along with its XXL dimensions: it occupies 3.5 slots, measures a substantial 33 cm in length, and is 14.5 cm wide. This series of models consists of the RTX 5070, the RTX 5070 Ti, the RTX 5080, and the RTX 5090. The lineup was launched to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary. It is therefore a symbolic model for AORUS and, more specifically, its parent company: Gigabyte.
The card features a unique design with a cooling system called WINDFORCE Hyperburst. It is characterized by a massive heatsink consisting of three fans. The two Hawk fans are positioned at the ends of the card and are inspired by the aerodynamics of an eagle’s wing. This design aims to reduce air resistance and noise levels, resulting in a 53.6% increase in static pressure and a 12.5% increase in airflow—all without increasing noise levels. The third fan, the central Overdrive fan, is positioned in the center of the card, as its name suggests.
The two main fans are known as cross-flow fans, meaning they direct airflow vertically out through the large vents visible on the back. They are positioned at the ends of the card, while a smaller fan is located in the center. Contrary to what one might think, the small fan is the fastest of the three, with a maximum speed of 4,000 RPM compared to 3,000 RPM for the other two. In addition, this AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY is also based on a design that offers improved resistance to bending.
