Today it’s the Techn waterblock for RX 6800 (XT) / 6900 XT that arrives at the Lab. Some time ago we bought an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Founder Edition. Wanting to test its overclocking capabilities I turned to Techn to bring the temperature down. Hoping to do better than the RX 6800 XT Liquid Devil tested by CornerJack. So we received a package directly from Techn today. The packaging is quite light, cardboard boxes with a white case and the brand name in the center. In the box of the backplate we find a notice, the screws and the backplate wrapped in a plastic film. We note the presence of a pre-installed thermal pad.
In the box of the waterblock we also find a notice, screws, a bag of thermal paste (Arctic MX2) and the waterblock in a plastic film. As for the backplate, the thermal pads are already pre-installed on the waterblock. Everything is well protected by foam.
On the side of the instructions the information is quite clear. Even if the part on the screwing of the back plate leaves something to be desired.
