Intel officially discontinues its A770 16GB Limited Edition

In a product change notification, Intel indicated the discontinuation of shipments of one of these graphics cards. The model in question is none other than the Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition. With a name like “Limited Edition”, we had to expect it sooner or later, didn’t we?

The appeal of this model lay in the fact that, firstly, it was a ref card and, secondly, that it was equipped with 16 GB of VRAM. Indeed, the fact that Intel offers its own boards is a good thing, especially when it comes to price. This way, we don’t have to bear the cost of custom designs from Intel’s partners.

Getting back to the facts, Intel published a product change notification. In it, we learn that the blue team is announcing a halt to orders and shipments. In other words, the A770 16GB Intel sauce is finished. However, the company will continue to supply A770 chips to its partners, but that’s all.

If you want to get your hands on a 16GB VRAM card, you’ll either have to hurry before stocks run out, or turn to custom versions. Acer’s Acer BiFrost or Gunnir’s versions, but in that case, you’ll have to go through import.

At present, this is the only Arc graphics card that Intel is discontinuing. Other versions are still available, notably the A750 Limited Edition.
