NVIDIA’s latest RTX 5000 Ada now has a known retail price. The card is now priced at 3,5999 yuan in China, or around $5,000 after conversion. As a reminder, this RTX 5000 Ada is one of a series of graphics cards for professional use featuring Ada Lovelace GPUs.
RTX 5000 Ada: one for $5000!
So, with this 5000 model, we find a card whose positioning is just below that of the big RTX 6000 Ada. That’s why this card is equipped with a GPU featuring 12800 cuda cores in 100 of the 144 SMs offered by the AD102 GPU . The card also boasts a total of 400 tensor cores, as well as a boost frequency of 2.5 GHz. The memory section features a total of 32 GB GDDR6 on a 256-bit memory bus. It will operate at 18 Gbps, contributing to a bandwidth of 578 GB/s.
In broad terms, this is a card whose configuration straddles the RTX 4090 (128 SM) and RTX 4080 (76 SM). However, the card has much more VRAM and different driver support, making it more at home with professional software.
As for price, as we said, this card is currently listed under Gigabyte reference at 35,999 yuan on JD.com. This means a bill in dollars of around $5000 at current conversion rates. A pretty hefty price, given that the official retail price for this model is $4000.
Over here, this 5000 model is also available, but it’s a merchant from Amazon’s marketplace. As for price, you’ll have to shell out a hefty €6200+ to get a model from PNY’s catalog.
