A new accessory for Hyte’s Y60. We’ve learned that an LCD screen is planned for this model. This screen will simply be installed in place of the beveled glass on the case!
Y60: an LCD screen to replace one of the glass panes!
As you can see, the kit includes a few little extras. There’s the screen, a controller board, a remote control (contrast, brightness, etc.), a power cable and a mini-HDMI/HDMI cable.
The aim, of course, is to position the screen level with the beveled glass. Once in place, connect the ribbon cable to the controller board, and power it using the supplied molex cable. Finally, simply connect it to a free HDMI port on the graphics card. The remote control is optional.
The screen itself has a very specific resolution, 1920×515, which is logical given its format. It will be used to display a whole host of things, such as animations, system info and so on. One of the promo photos even shows a Twitch chat.
Well, the only snag in the story is the price of the solution, which is $150 on the brand’s official website.
