Hyte launches its new Y70 case with 14.1″ screen!

The Hyte brand completes its catalog with the arrival of a new PC case, the Y70. This complements the Y60 and Y40 models we previously reported on here. In short, a larger version with an LCD panel in place of the angled glass.

Y70: bigger, with a screen, but without fans as standard!

With this 70 model, the brand wanted to correct the “teething problems” of the Y60. In doing so, the brand offers a larger case, this time with four vertical expansion slots. This makes it possible to showcase larger graphics cards. What’s more, GPU compatibility has been improved, with the length of the case increasing from 375 mm to 390 mm, and its thickness from 75 mm to 105 mm.

Otherwise, the case can still accommodate motherboards in E-ATX format to the maximum. The CPU cooler now has a more substantial space of 180 mm instead of the 160 mm of the Y60. The power supply is still positioned behind the motherboard tray.

Ventilation will accommodate a total of ten fans, compared with eight on the Y60. As for the watercooling radiators, they are also supported by the 360 mm models.

But the big news here concerns the addition of an IPS touchscreen mounted in place of the glass forming the corner of the case. The latter is substantial, with a diagonal of 14″ and a resolution of 1100×3840, all in 60 Hz. It will enable a variety of functions, such as personalization and monitoring, all at your fingertips. But you can also use it as a real screen… Well, with a very stretched resolution, but it’s feasible, since it connects to your graphics card via DisplayPort. Behind it, the Nexus App software lets you go a step further, with widget management in particular.

For the moment, the box is not yet available here, but on the manufacturer’s website, it costs $359.99, which is quite a lot! As for colors, we’ll have black, black/white, black/red and full white!
