Hydro PTM Pro ATX3.0: a 3 km long FSP power supply

0

FSP completes its Hydro PTM Pro ATX3.0 power supply series. This last one benefits now from a model with a big power of 1300W. Nevertheless, this will pose a concern of size since this reference displays 19 cm of depth. For a power supply, this is not insignificant.

Hydro PTM Pro ATX3. 0 : beware of the size !

FSP Hydro PTM Pro ATX3.0With this new power supply, the FSP brand announces a block of big power since it is about 1200W of power. Moreover, the efficiency should be good since it has an 80+ Platinum certification!

Internally, the brand highlights the use of Japanese capacitors. Moreover, the PCB receives a treatment protecting it from dust and allowing the block to operate in hot and humid environments (95% humidity). Otherwise, we will retain a half-bridge design with LLC resonance. Likewise, a DC-to-DC converter is included with strict voltage regulation: ±1%. We will finish by mentioning the electrical protections present which are : OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP and OTP.

On the cooling side, the brand opts for a 135 mm FDB type fan with semi-passive operation that can be deactivated. This last one will enter in action only when the load will reach the 30%.

As far as the connectors are concerned, with 1200W, we have what it takes to power large configurations. The latter includes a 24-pin ATX and a trio of EPS12V 4+4 pins. For graphics cards, we have six 6+2 pin PCIe and a 16 pin 12VHPWR . On the peripherals side, fourteen SATA, five molex and one floppy are included.

Beware however of the size, 19 cm, it does not fit in all cases. And while we’re on the subject of disadvantages, make sure you have a well-stocked wallet of at least $269!

This way to the FSP datasheet!
