Hunter 3: mesh front panel and four original fans!

Chieftec Hunter 3On the program, we find not one, but two cases with the Hunter 3 and Night Hunter. The difference simply concerns the ventilation supplied as standard. The Night Hunter will benefit from a trio of 140 mm fans in black, compared with RGB fans of the same size for the other variant.

Otherwise, in terms of dimensions, we’re dealing with classic mid-tower models with dimensions of 238 (W) x 440 (D) x 450 (H) mm. In terms of weight, the technical data sheets list just over 9 kg on the scales.

Internally, there is support for motherboards in E-ATX, ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX formats. Backpannel support is on the agenda here, which explains the case’s considerable width… You need sufficient clearance to connect the cables to the rear of the motherboard tray.

When it comes to components, there’s nothing to worry about, as this model will accommodate CPU fans 178 mm high and graphics cards 425 mm long. The power supply is 200 mm deep. As for watercooling, there’s also plenty to do, with dual 360 mm radiator supports at the front and top. As for ventilation, up to seven 140 mm fans can be fitted, compared with eleven 120 mm fans.
