The Galaxy brand announces a new memory kit, but in DDR4 this time… This is a change from the DDR5 kits announced lately. Anyway, the HOF OC Lab Tempest presented here remains and will remain an ultra rare pearl. Indeed, the brand decided to produce only 100 kits!
HOF OC Lab Tempest : DDR4 at 5000 MHz in ultra limited edition !
With this RAM, the brand offers us dual channel memory kits with two 8GB modules. As you can see, we are dealing with 16GB sets. However, they are distinguished by their high frequencies… Very high even, since as standard, the memory reaches 5000 MT/s (also XMP compatible). On the latency side, the brand announces CL19-28-28-48 and a voltage of 1.6V.
HOF series, we find there a white heatsink with a diamond pattern. A very fashionable pattern these days, we must admit. However, the PCB will be black and will have a total of 10 layers. While we are at it, let’s not forget to say that the memory chips are B die from Samsung!
Now all that’s left to do is to be ready when the orders are opened. Keep in mind that with only 100 kits, it could go fast. Our colleagues at Guru3D say that they will be available in Japan from mid-December.
Edit: I’m told in my ear that these kits are already available. In fact, some members of our Discord community have even been able to get one for around 400 € with shipping. Keep in mind, however, that on top of that you have to add the percentage of customs duty allocated to this type of product, the 20% VAT and the carrier’s handling fee… All this, calculated on the value of the product in addition to the cost of shipping. Yes, it goes up quickly.
