Graphics card prices are gradually coming down!

Graphics card prices in Germany are gradually falling. We’re talking about prices slightly below September 2025 levels. But this is not a new trend: yesterday, we reported on a similar subject in China, where AMD cards could find themselves below official prices(MSRP). In our opinion, the reason lies in a drop in demand rather than a sudden rise in memory stocks.

But still almost 10% higher than September 2025:

Cartes graphiquesBroadly speaking, GPU prices remained stable in September and December 2025. In January, the rise was felt with an overall increase of +12%, before reaching +19% in February. March saw a slight downturn, with prices 14% higher overall than at the end of 2025, before falling back to +11% in April.

Currently, in the first fortnight of May, price tracking shows prices only 9% higher overall, almost at the level of September to December 2025.

However, price falls are not uniform, and some high-end models, such as the RTX 5090, remain stable overall, with prices on average 51% higher than at the end of 2025. While the average price in September 2025 was €2,319, it peaked at €3,539 in April and is currently stable at €3,499.

In contrast, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is less expensive than in September 2025: €318 versus €341 in September 2025, while the RTX 5060 8GB and RX 9070 XT have returned to their end-2025 levels.

These declines reflect a market in poor health:

From here, you might think it’s good news to see prices falling. However, given the current context, these price reductions are more likely to be due to a drop in demand for components. Indeed, the memory situation is still tense, and Samsung sees no improvement before 2028, with 2027 even worse than 2026. Manufacturers are also expecting a sharp drop in demand in this sector. As we have seen, forecasts for the motherboard market point to -25% to -30% of shipments in 2026. On Amazon, demand for CPUs is at half-mast, while AMD expects to see its Gaming segment‘s figures decline over the current year.
