The new series of processors from Intel, the Meteor Lake-S, is full of surprises. Indeed, with the launch of this series, we should see a new naming scheme for processors. Gone are the Core i’s, gone are the Core Ultra’s.
Core Ultra: new names for Intel processors!
Basically, it was a leak on the Ashes of the Singularity database that started the hostilities. Indeed, the test mentioned the presence of an Intel Core Ultra 5 1003H, which launched new rumors. These indicated that the blue could well review the name of their processors, it was confirmed by Intel. Bernard Fernandes director of Global Communication of the company expressed himself in a tweet :
“Yes, we are making brand changes as we’re at an inflection point in our client roadmap in preparation for the upcoming launch of our #MeteorLake processors. We will provide more details regarding these exciting changes in the coming weeks! #Intel “
For the time being, the new Intel lines could well be called: Core Ultra 3, 5, 7 and 9. No more “i” names. It remains to be seen if this will concern the mobile series only or if the desktop versions will also be concerned.
